RV Batery ???

So I put the camper on the truck for a weekend of fun. The next day (tonight) I go out to run it over to get some gas and the batery is dead. I jump start it with no problems, starts right up. Come home turn it off and it starts right up. I took the RV batery out and it is dead.

Question, will a dead RV batery steal the juice from the truck batery and kill it?

If they are hooked together, yes.

I would think so because it is hook up to the truck to recieve a charge. so I would think it could sapp(sp) power from the trucks battery.

You need an isolator. That way if one battery goes junk, it doesn't effect the other one. Plus, you can always jump yourself (a dream you've had for years I'm sure)

yep, what BC said...and infact I think I have a brand new isolator...I would have to check but I just may...and a battery switch if you wanted that too...

I will, if I still ahve them they are at my parents so I will head out there tomorrow and check...

Check that you don't have something drawing a large load turned on in the camper(like a fridge running on DC) I found that one out the hard way. I put the camper on my truck(powerstroke), went out the next morning to find the truck dead(2 batteries) and the camper dead too(large RV battery).
