I got this e-mail today, this is something that ALL of us should plan on attending! This is very important.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Greetings All,
This e-mail is to inform you of an opportunity to provide balance to a media event organized by the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance.
You may already be aware that SUWA has announced yet another
pro-wilderness rally at Sugarhouse Park on March 29 to bring more awareness to their Red Rock Wilderness Proposal.
You all are aware of what will become of our recreational opportunity if they prevail. :-(
This represents an opportunity for the land-use community to show the general public that there is another side to SUWA's story. A properly organized counter-rally could demonstrate to the press and to legislators strong opposition to the extremist's proposal.
Larry Kuehn, a Salt Lake OHV activist affiliated with several
organizations including the BlueRibbon Coalition and the Utah Shared Access Alliance has volunteered to organize such a counter-rally. Larry has called an organizational meeting in order to begin to organize and develop a plans for the event. The meeting will be held on February 17, 7:00 p.m. at Larry H. Miller Jeep 106th South in the Auto Mall in the Meeting room upstairs. Pizza and soft drinks will be provided by Brian Hawthorne of USA-ALL.
We strongly urge you to attend this important meeting. If you are unable to attend please consider sending an alternate to represent your group. Notes on the meeting will be sent to all who are interested. A meeting agenda is attached to this message in Word format. If you have any difficulty opening the document please contact Brian Hawthorne at the address below.
Thank you all,
Brian Hawthorne

PS. Here is a little background about Larry:
I know a lot of you don’t know me but about two years ago myself and 15-20 friends staged a counter protest on the door steps of SUWA due to their protest of an approved desert race held at the 10 Mile Wash area just out side of Green River Utah. We had great media coverage, but the most important things is the media allowed us an opportunity to tell it like it is. It’s been almost two years since this took place and to this day I still run into people who saw the news coverage and were just as
elated as I was regarding the message we got across. We need to rally together and use this opportunity as a tool and let the public know the land use community has a voice. Let get going!
