Has anyone done this? I have a kit from Trail Tuff that I got years ago, but never got around to doing. I was planning on finally putting it on here in a few weeks so I wanted to see if anyone else had done it. Comments, Suggestions?
Thanks

I'm doing the CJ front springs in the rear, sami rears up front swap this week. Should be a blast, finally going SPOA also. Cj fronts are 2" wide like sami springs, rears are 2.5" wide like YJ springs. CJ springs are almost 2" shorter also from what I've heard, so it doesn't extend your wheelbase as much and you can just run them missing link instead of relocating the hanger.

Yeah, I've had a set of CJ springs laying around for awhile, they are rears (I assume) because they are 2.5". What kit are you using, mines a Trail Tuff kit. I did the rear Sami springs up front a few years back, it was an easy swap with the RRO kit. I've also got the Missing Links. Do you by chance know how much longer rear CJ springs are over the fronts?

You are supposed to use the CJ FRONTS because of the length and still 2" in width. I did the conversion on my zuk back in the day with rears up front and CJ fronts in the rear with missing link type shackles.

I actually re drilled the center holes on my spring perches so the axle wouldn't move so far back but some kits have an adaptor that does that for you because you have to do the top plate too.

Unless you have the jpeater kit from RRO, I don't think you can swap in the 2.5" wide springs.

I ran front CJ spring on the rear of my Samurai with Samurai rears in the front. All I used was RRO's missing links also in SPOA. After a while i put YJ's in the rear with just missing links no kits. Now I have YJ's front, and rear with a 8" frame exstension on the front..
