Spartans are like Lock-rights are like Aussies...they're all similar and pretty painless to install. If I didn't live all the way down in G.J. and have to work the next three days, I would be more than happy to help out. Don't know what their instructions look like, but I can't imagine it would be too hard to get this done. I understand the need for "support" in this task...I do the same thing everytime I tackle a project for the first time. Good luck with the install!

I'm in SLC, so I'm no real help to you. The nice part about the lunchbox locker are how easy they are to install. However, the down side of the Sammy and Toyota is you have to completly disassemble the axle to install it. Not rocket science, but it'll take a while to get it installed.

In a nut shell, pull your axles, drop the third. Pull your spider gears, and install the locker. Sounds easy enough, huh? On most other makes, you can just pop off the diff cover and install it.

I've done a Spartan if I were closer I would help for sure. Depending on when you want to tackle this I still might be able to come up.

takemehome, have you ever pulled a third member, or taken apart the front or rear axle in a samurai or toyota? If not, don't worry. It's not bad.

I recommend pulling the rear third first, it's the easiest. Then, once you feel confident doing that, the front one won't seem as bad.

If you want to tear into one tomorrow I think I could swing it. Just talked to the wife and she seems ok with it. Either tomorrow or next Sunday. I think if we do the front first the rear won't seem so daunting.
