School me on Hot Tubs

Somebody asked about the Coleman inflatable hot tubs....We got one to put on our 2nd story deck outside the master bedroom and it's been really nice. Perfect for 2 people to soak in for awhile. You sit on the floor but there is a pretty nice pad that is comfy. Temp only gets to 104 but we've usually put it at 102 or so on warm nights. I'll probably put it at 104 for the winter. It does take awhile to heat up if you let it cool down. About 2 degrees per hour. We use it maybe once a week or so on average so I didn't want to spring for large tub. It's been pretty great for the $300 investment.

I've been looking at hot tubs recently as well, but I'm really leaning to a wood fired cedar hot tub. I don't need/want dozens of jets etc.

@Johnny Quest had one of those installed in his backyard this week. Still waiting on his review.

My old man has one he made out of a old compressor take for the fire pit and a stock tank for the tub uses a sump pump to circulate the water.

I'm thinking that my new fire pit would be pretty sweet inside a large stock tank filled with water.

depth is far too shallow.
water is murky at best, and i have not figured out how to turn a filter on, if there is one at all.
heating element is rudimentary, yet works well.
kinda itchy after use
