Details, review, feedback??
We picked the TV up at sears it was on sale for 410 then i have a bro-in-law who works there and they lowered the price of the tv and we got his employee discount so we made out pretty good (and bought a 3yr service plan that covers 100% parts and labor for $40bucks). We decided with the 42" because we bought a new entertainment center and it holds up to a 50" but after doing some measuring anything over a 42" just looked way to crammed in there plus with our viewing area in our apt the 42" is perfect. When we get a house we will buy a bigger one for the living room and move this one to the bedroom or something. As far as liking the TV i couldn't be happier the picture is just amazing the TV its self is great quality and has great options/adjustments. As with all TV's the sound out of it isn't no home theater sound but is just fine with a little tuning for everyday TV and we got a new surround for watching movies. The TV is actually a "Zenith" which is now made by LG. I was real hesitant on a plasma from all the horror stories of "Burn in" and not to lay them flat or it ruins them. Well after a ton of research and talking to people burn in is a thing of the past and no longer happens on plasmas and that issue has been fixed. And now days you can lay them flat and not ruin the TV even in the instructions for the TV they tell you to lay it flat on its face on something soft to attach the stand to the TV. I would recommend the TV to anyone looking for a good TV that wont break the bank.

More TV suggestions?

We are shopping for a TV and rather than start a new thread I'm looking for reccomendations.

We are not cable/dish subscribers nor do we watch bluray or do any gaming, but we do enjoy lots of DVD's. This TV will have many hours of cartoons filtered through it.

Our viewing distance is 12-15ft.

Is there a reason this Panasonic wouldn't fit the bill? Is there a feature we are missing out on?

Looks like a solid TV. Panasonic is one of the best plasma brands and costco has a great warranty. I'd pay a little more and get a 1080P set but its not absolutely necessary. DVDs play in 1080i and blueray in 1080P. 720p will look good but will not show all of the detail your feeding it.
