What do you want to do with it? If you want to wheel it even a little bit hard there is nothing good. Weak frames, bad steering, weak drivetrain and no power. If you want to restore it the more original it is the better. If you want to modify everything and wheel it buy a CJ2 or 3 and leave the MB to the collectors.

I don't want to do a damn thing to it, the more original the better!! It would mainly be a cruise around town and show off type vehicle. It would probably never, or rarely see any dirt. I want one just to say I have one!!

I need to know what to look for when I look at it to know if it's a good deal or not.

p.s. what's the advantages or disagvantages to the original 24 volt system vs a swapped in 12 volt system (I'm electronically challenged, so use small words ;))

I think they had 6volt not 24volt systems.

If your going to restore it don't change a thing. keep it stock I would LOVE to have on of those (and I hate Heeps:) )
