Im helping a buddy with his scout, we got all the stuff off a scout 2 for the upgrade the brackets bolt up to the motor but the pulleys dont line up. Is there an offset pulley i can get or do i need to make new brackets for the pump? Thanks for any info, Phil

There is a small pulley that bolts to the front of the Crankshaft pulley/ harmonic balancer. Its 6 Bolts that are a pain to get to. Luckily the SII that I got my PS parts from had the radiator removed already which made it much easier to see & remove the bolts. There is not enough room for a socket to fit over the bolts. I can get you some specific pics if you need but none are on this PC I'm using right now.

Good Luck, Brad

I found one but it looks like the fan will hit it, will i have to get a different fan or space this one out?

I'm not sure if you'll need the SII fan or not. My 1st mod on mine was OBA using SII AC pump, bracket & fan. I know its very close in mine. Did you get the PS bracket w/ smog pump above the PS pump? If you did you will need the 45* coolant outlet by the bracket. I made about 4 trips up to Coy's Auto Wrecking (South of Smith & Edwards) before it was changed to the one it is now. I kept finding small things like what you are:(

Yeah I got the one with the smog pump bracket but I cut it off, It bolts up to the motor fine and clears everything,
Thats the yard I got the rear axle from and found the pulley you told me to get.
What box did you use? I got one off the scout II but it has a foward through pitmen arm and it looks like it will hit the front shackle.

 I would have not cut it. I have a 2nd alternator for an OBW in place of the smog pump:)

I used the SII pump & box. The SII pitman arm is too long & will hit the shackles so I used a 70's Jeep Wagoneer or a 70's Dodge trucks pitman arm. Sorry, can't remember which one right now. The pic shows those 2 choices and the SII in the center. One thing that I forgot is that if you keep the stock draglink you will need to find the ball end off of an 80 or 800. That will be the hardest part to find. Unless you use the orig pitman arm but I don't remember if I had tried that.
I hope that helps.

Have you tried a SII fan? One w/ PS & AC? That should work. I don't think a spacer would help w/ the fan that you have:confused:

I ended up using the stock arm cause i was not getting very much steering out of the shorter one, we put scout 2 springs on the front so it dont hit the shackle cause they are a little longer.
