I have reason to believe that someone is causing injury to my dogs. I would like to have a way to monitor who is going through my side gate. Recently, after the second random injury. I went out and checked my gates. While the carabiner was still in the gate, it was left incorrectly placed. My dogs know how to open the gate if its not latched correctly, so I make sure its in place. I also havent used the gate in a couple weeks, and ther grass was recently pushed over from the gate opening.

What is the least expensive way to set up cameras and record what is happening?

Yeah, one of those game cameras is probably the cheapest/easiest. You can get nice security cameras with a DVR from Costco if you want video.

I have a 96 hour vcr recorder and a old camera I could loan you for as long as you want... or if you want to buy them I would be willing to sell them cheap...

otherwise the two options ILEAN had posted would be the way I would go...

I have tons of the wire to wire it up for you... but I'm sure the one comes with all the wires ready to go...

Thats what I was thinking too, it would be hard to set it where it didnt.

The problem I see with a game camera is it flashes. The camera is then target #1 for the film/photo next come the dogs. Before they thought they had you fooled and got away with it but now there mad and more determined to get you back.

Video is stealth and thats what I like about it.

Confront them in front of there friends and family with a copy of the video and what can they say.

The reviews say a red light comes on when it flashes so I don't know how noticeable it is. Maybe someone that actually has used them will chime in...

For now, Im monitoring the area for footsteps, and taped up my carabiners to see if they have been messed with. Im suspect of the neighbors kids, they always are poking at them through the fence and throwing stuff at them. But they range in ages from 4 to 8. Besides my 120lb lab/rott has a strong dislike for kids and has bit before when cornered. I really doubt it was them. Although the parents could have been, because they dont like my dogs barking at their kids after they torment them. Both my dogs will shy away from adults when being scolded, not sure if they will attack.

I have a setup that I can borrow. And once Im not going in 92 directions I will get it.
