look what i can do!!
so do to recent financial problems i have been thinking of selling my cruiser...
really no complaints with the truck at all except that i cant ever afford to go wheeling! :( i just have an non street leagal rig and no tow rig and cant see one comming in the near future!
so do i sell it and hope i can build a new trail rig in the next year or so?
or do i stick it out?

and: what can i really get out of it?

well, I think you're the only one that can really say if you should put it up for sale or not. I will tell you it's pretty difficult to sell our application specific vehicles. Doable but it takes time, I have had a ton of interest in my buggy but people are looking for something specific so your market is very small. I know you know that you will never get out of your cruiser what its really worth. FWIW, I say if you dont owe anything on it then stuff it in storage and sit on it because there is no wya you will ever be out of the sport so when you decide to get serious again you already have a rig:D (I know, sounds kinda hypocritical on my part;))

Kurt beat me to it.

You idiot, you should have thought about that before you cut the damn thing to pieces! Your only road out of this mess it to part it out. Nobody will buy that mess as it sits. Just because you have a 60 front end doesn't mean you're gunna get 8k out of it.

i will make fun of you for the rest of your life if you sell it... you will get totally screwed over! but then you will build something else and probably outwheel me :ugh:
trust me, no one wants to buy it... but i'll take the 60 off your hands, in fact i'd take the rolling chassis for cheap

p.s. don't sell it! super has the right idea imo, just sit on it for awhile and see how you feel. i didn't wheel my jeep for almost 2 years and i still love the pos now that i built it

I did present Olly with a great solution...

We have access to a complete Frame/body from an FJ60... Ollie could bob this one, tub out the wheel wells (to accomodate his 37's) and then do a quick body swap. With this he could get it licensed, and have a decent daily driver (school is close to his house).. and still have a capable trail rig... He will just have to be a little more careful with the body this time around.

What do you all think?

He could have had that right now if he'd been thinking. Sounds like a good soluition. A lot of work though. Plan on having no rig for months.

Why months... The other tub/body is complete... just need some bodywork (Olliue bobbed his last one in 20 mins  )

The body swaps only take a day or so... His drivetrain stays complete... :D

You're fooling yourself. There will be some can't-live-without-it-part that he'll break, and he'll order a new one and it will take about 8 weeks to get shipped here...

all of you can eat it! (MOSTLY TRACY)

i like the idea of a new body!! i could build the body and still wheel the old one....then have a big body swap party! than it could look like this again!!

then i could install my aus clock that Kurt has strolen from me!!! -_-

Seriously Olly, I would be pretty bummed (and so would you) if you sell it. I would go for the body change.... FO SHO!! Let me know and I will come help.

i'm working on it... it is the mostlikely plan!!!

oh i will get the body done then lure you all over with something shiny just to lock you in the garage with my cruiser and some basic hand tools!!
