Just a quick note. I will be makin a trip to the "B" above bountiful this saterday around noonish time. I will just be playin in the rocks at the bottom in the river bed and in the mud pits. I might go up old ward trail. I will have some family in town and they want to go wheeling. they live back east and have mud. not really anything like we do, or so they say.

So. If anyone wants to swing by. I will be playin their.

Channel 22 on the radio.

D*&^ davis county

They started up the tractors yesterday and tore out some dirt up their. Now they have some more concrete barades going up. Not sure what they are going to do or anything. What a bunch of @**wips. Wont even talk to me about it. "Just leave us along. its none of your buisness what we are doing."

Dumb.

I was able to talk to city councle today on the matter. (It helps to have bricked the house of the mayor)
bountiful city traded some property with Davis county. The loins club gun range was owned by Davis county, and the river bed was owned by Bountiful. Now it has traded. The river bed is now davis county and the gun range is bountiful.

Davis county wants to block off access to the river bed and were they divert water. The mub pits and the old ward trail is still open. They are not able to close them off since it is access to privite property.

Thought bountiful city did smooth the climb to the mud pits. It is now wide enough to fit a semi tractor and trailer on. Smooth enough to get a new porsh up their. They also filled in the main road to the parking lot.
The first good rain storm we have hear in the next while will make it one hell of a mud hole. plus the road they justed grated will wash away and make it more fun.

See what happens.

So my wheelin trip will not be down in the river bed anymore. It will be the old ward trail.

oh well.

I used to be bothered by the fact that part of that area was private and the owners were picky but now I am grateful and hope they will continue to own the piece of land. I might be buying another rig tommorow and will head up later in the evening to check out and see what they have done up there this week.

As far as I know. This land has been owned by one family and they dont care if we are their. As far as the blocks go. Bountiful and davis county has placed them on their own accord.

With the rain we are having today. The trail will be real slick. I am thinking of something diffrent. like Borth canyon trail, just south of their.

But I will still meet at the "B" at high noon to see what is up for all those who wants to go.

hit exit 315 (I think) should be fourth north. shoot straight up 400 north to the last stop. About 1300 east. I think their is three stop lights, then up the hill and right at the top thier is a stop sign. turn left and follow the road alll the way to the dirt.

You weren't kidding they really smoothed that road over, I went up there this evening and could have driven my BMW comfortably up to the mud pits.

Hudson,

Sorry for not showing up yesterday but with that heavy rain i figured it's be a nasty soup up that way, so I stayed home!! :)

I am certainly interested in future trips up that way though.
