Should Caleb keep the CJ look?

Should Caleb go for the 'Jeep' look or something else?

Caleb,

You've seen my bro Scott's jeep right?

Started as a CJ, turned into mostly YJ... Now it's the CYJ-7... But then again, his isn't strictly off-road, it's a street legal trailer queen, with a blown engine! :D

Cut it down the center and make it fit.

The problem is, the width is good at the front and at the back....it's just the bulging middle that's the problem.

Carl,
stop making shawn repeat himself....make a cut that removes a minimum amount of material from the rear, but enough in the front that it fits the angle of the hood rails. Leave the CJ grille. Just a little geometry there!

I have thought about it for a temporary solution BUT if I cut the hood down, that means I have to cut the grill down too...I was hoping to get something stock so if/when I roll and smash up the hood I dont have to remake the whole thing...and like Carl said, the front is right, and the rear is right but just in the middle the hood bulges so it looks kinda goofy...(OK, so it looks REALLY goofy:D)

Were are actually restoring my buddys 71 datsun 280 Z right now.... After looking at the front end on that I started thinking that it would be one killer looking front end for a buggy.... Nice rounded edges, extremely narrow...
wish i had a pic to post but the outer fenders are off and were sandblasting the whole thing so it just dosent look right as of the moment....

Take a tape measure down to the pick-n-pull, and see what you can find. I do like the s2000 hood though...

Dig it. What is it, exactly?

2001 BMW Z3.

Or... you could do the new Z4!

I don't know if either would work though, unless you chopped part of the rear of the hood. The hood is very long and has a huge engine bay (only to fit an inline 6 though.)

The middle part of the car is where the windshield meets the convertible soft top.
