Sidekick/Tracker people...

I've been looking for something AWD for my wife for sometime. I don't like Subaru's much and everything else I can't find or can't afford. So I started thinking about what else gets good mileage and is four wheel drive. Sidekick/Tracker is all that has come to mind so far. What do you think of them? Do they make good daily drivers and hold up as they become higher mileage vehicles? Is there anything especially good about certain years or options? Thanks for your help :D

I am in the middle of building a sas kick for my wife. I personally like them better than the samurais because of the room inside. Much more spacious and they already have a good peppy motor in them. Cal Mini makes an IFS lift for them and have seen several videos on You Tube of them doing verry well. Mine has been a little work to SAS the thing but I am using Toyota Axles and links all the way around so when I'm done I can send over some pics to show you some opions with them.

I ran my 91 2dr soft top from Layton to 7200 S for months. It was a great vehicle. I wouldn't hesitate to build another one. Mine had 2" TJ pucks with a 2" body and was running 32's.
