I'm debating on whether to head for the desert or the water this weekend. Weather is the deciding factor once again. I need to get some seat time in the kayak, and relearn how to fish...but I also want to get out and run around and sit around a campfire, and the west desert is a great place that's not too far away to do that. Decisions decisions...

Fuel to Skull Valley shouldn't be a problem at all. Tooele is on the way, and Delle is one exit past the Skull Valley Road turnoff.

After further research, and being our first run, I've decided to try out Jacob City / Dry Canyon. Looks to be lots of mining artifacts and cool stuff to see.

So after all the angst we went up Mineral Basin with the trailer. . Trip report and a short video coming shortly. Trailer was phenomenal.
