SLC to Denver and Back

Taking a last-minute trip to Denver later this afternoon returning tomorrow. I will be going in a pickup truck and returning towing a 14k dump trailer. I have no real preference for route, so I will likely take Hwy 6/I-70 there and I-80 back just for variety.

The detour adds a few hours between Rifle and Silverthorne.

Ouch! I thought I had seen that everything was opened- just reduced lanes. I guess I-70 is out!

It's gonna be touch and go in that canyon for a year or two, until some vegetation can take hold to slow the rainwater down.
