sloppy steering

I have a friend with a 96 grand with about 6 inch lift and long arms with a 6 in drop pitman arm but it cant drive down the street because you can turn the steering wheel almost a full turn each way before it responds and I have checked the track bar and its tight and I have had the ball joints replaced 300 miles ago and replaced the tie rod ends any ideas guys thanks again for all of your guys and gals help thanks again

With a 6" drop pitman, I would look at the uni-frame around the steering box. It could be cracked. Have someone turn the wheel back and forth while you watch to see whats moving and whats not....should show up preety easy with that much play.

That's what I did, the play in my steering wheel turned out to be due to a loose post in the steering box.
