I have been lurking on the sidelines and I have kinda noticed that toyotas are starting to become the major topic around here...

Are jeeps on their way out? are buggies not that in anymore? when did the road take a turn and I missed it?

I'm not saying this is a bad thing just a trend that I have noticed....

I've noticed that also, but think that we who own Jeep's are out driving them while all the Yota guys are in the garage working on them. Hmmm, go figure. **flame suit on**

At least my jeep is cheap compared to toyotas. I have rebuilt almost the whole damn thing and I'm still less then 3k:D Plus there are a ton of cheap parts at the PNP:rofl:

Want to put some pen to paper and prove that? I'm at about 1500 miles in the dirt this year, total garage time about 5 hours including oil changes. :D

The reality is you'll find far more Jeep owners turned Toyota owners than vice-versa and I think the number of threads relating to that show. Also at least in the Wasatch front, the Toyota clubs and 'groups' are more active collectively than the Jeep owners. That is not to say they don't get out on the trail more or less, just not in organized groups like Toyota owners.

No Toyota CRD options though... can't deal with spark-infested motors. I am unaffiliated but I am out there every weekend... so many places to bring teh sexay.

I'm thinking about putting a toyota hood on my buggy that has a jeep engine. Does that count for anything?

I agree with this. Hell, I've gotten out with toyota guys in my jeep more than other jeep guys.

For me, as an owner of each, my Toyota is like my loyal, pampered, stay-at-home wife, while my jeep is like a dirty mistress that doesn't mind if I slap her around once in a while.
