My father drives a '01 TJ with a 3" Skyjacker lift w/ 33" tires. Would it be safe to install 2" pucks to the springs to clear 35's or should we just look into a body lift??? The thing never see the dirt but I dont want to be taking a turn and have a spring pop out.

I have used the pucks 2 different times and never had a problem, after it was aligned.I have also used a body lift and besides extending the shifter it was fairly easy to install.

as I remember the rear end on TJs has a bump stop/spring retainer thing inside the coil like the front does. There shouldn't be any problem running a spacer.

I'd stay away from any body lift over 1". Up to 2"s are safe but on a Jeep I think are butt ugly. The PO had a 2" BL on my CJ and there was way too much daylight in between the frame and body. I have a few trail pics and it looks awfull. I droped it down to a 1" bl and it looks much better.

That being said I agree with the guys above, a 2" puck should be fine especially for a street jeep.
