Speedweek 2016

Just got back. First time out. Got there around 9:30-10:00. Ended up about the 2 mile marker. Take binoculars, shade, water, sunscreen, sunglasses and a bicycle to cruise the pits.

View from the spectator area. We were at about mile marker 2 and the cars are 1/4 mile away at their closest point.


Diesel Powered.
Cummins in the orange streamliner.
The red one has in engine from a quarry truck. It holds the record since 2006 at 228 mph. Not sure of HP but torque is at 7000.

And, probably my favorite since I have a '49 GMC that's been on hold ever since I got into Jeeps. Hopefully it will find its way out of the barn and into the garage this winter.
