A friend of mine is working on a 96 Blazer S10.. Tranny isn't working. He is trying to disassemble it and has run into the wall.. Need this tool to remove four springs from the housing. Wondering if anyone has it by any chance. Tranny is 4L60E. Looked online, most are around $150 plus. Just not ready for that expense since it is one time use.. Appreciate any info you guys can share.

We called around. No one seems to be renting it. Trying to do it on the budget as well - money is tight in his household. We were thinking about using some 2x4's and our own weight but are concerned with damaging springs or something else in there. Buying right now is out as well. Might try Gordon Turner in the morning, see if he will help us to get springs out - pretty sure he would have right tool for the job. Thanks for the info - now can someone enlighten me how would one go about making one - will I need access to welder - because that would be a deal breaker - do not have access to one anymore.
