State Inspections/IM

I'am due for inspection this month. This is the first inspect for my jeep that I have built in just the last year from totally stock. I called the station I usually have inspection done at to see what would be required to pass. I was told I would need to have mud flaps covering 50% of the rear tires and flares that will stickout beyond the tires. Beadlocks not a issue. I'am wanting to know if anyone has some suggestions to rig up some (temporary) flares. From the sheet metal to the outside of the tire is about 9". I still have the stock flares on at this moment. This is not my daily driver and is trailored. Very seldom is it driven on the road.

I have seen people use that plastic lawn edging stuff that comes in a roll of 25 feet or something, a few sheetmetal screws to the inside of the fender.... Insta-flare! ;)

Is borrowing smaller/stock-like tires an option? That tends to help the width issue and the mud flap issue.

Granted it will look stupid. ;) :D

Anyone got any pizza cutters with a 5 on 5 1/2 I could rent for a day?

This is what I did and it worked, I wish I had a picture it looked funny as hell,
I also did this for fix it tickets, the last time I did this to get a ticket signed off the cop asked if them were the tires I usealy have on I said you gave me a fix it ticket and this is how Im fixing it, he signed it off. I went home and put the 38s back on.
