What is everyones opinion on steel or aluminum wheels on low horsepower rigs(Toy 4cyl for example)? Forged in my opinion is a little spendy for an off-road vehicle.

I'd say do anything you can to keep the weight of the rotating mass down (from a guy that's going to run 38" Swamps with H1 wheels  )......so on a semi-fragile axle (birfs or 297 joints--take your pick) I'd go for aluminum....

I have ran both and i thought the aluminum was stronger than the steel and didnt bend nearly as easy and looks much better.

I have steel, because I couldn't afford aluminum when i bought the rims. If you have the money I would spring for aluminum. Steel is cheap to replace :D

my answer depends on if you are talking beadlocks or not, if you are then aluminum if you have the money, steel if they are just regular wheels then you can add BL kits later on pretty easily. Also, I believe steel have better beads so if you dont have BLs then steel would likely hold the tire on a little better....
