I've got 'spiffy' equipment and experience. I'd need you to rent a booth of some type......(I may have a 'new' contact on that)....there used to be a booth rental place in the paper. I want/need to paint my Sub. You buy me enough paint/supplies for that and we'll call it even, eh?

I can help you with primer. I'd have that all done before you paint it, though. It needs sanding :D. If you are 'ready' to paint, you'll only need sealer and your paint system. What are your needs in the paint? You looking long term or do you expect trail damage and just need it to look nice for a while?

Glasurit is the ONLY paint....:D I don't need anything of significance. A base/clear Glasurit system will cost you $$$$. Just a decent (bottom line PPG, Sherwin, etc.) single stage will be great. I'll check on the booth on my way home.

sounds good, i only need the short term paint i suppose and iv sanded the whole thing and preped one side of it so far, do you happen to know where this paint booth will be located cuz my truck aint licensed yet but i will have someone drive behind me and my truck is incapable of reaching freeway speeds :D so ill keep that in mind. im looking for a good looking dark blue paint, so what should i do about primering it?

I found a place called U-paint it, they rent their booth for $100/day which includes masking supplies. Call Ron or Linn at 975-7500 if that is in your budget.

well i dont think the school booth is a possibilty but he said that jordan school rents theirs out sometimes and then he said to look in the newspaper for a booth, do you know how much your gallon of paint will cost and would i need the booth for primering it cuz the sooner i can primer it the less i have to worry about rust, thanks

I'm betting for the paint system it'll be around $200 or so. You can prime without a booth, but it's kinda nice to have one to keep the fumes/overspray down.

Paint, reducer and hardener is a single stage 'paint system'.

Base, reducer, clear, hardener and clear reducer is a 'base/clear paint system'. I've got the gun, respirators, etc.

one small mod at a time
And if anybody has left over YELLOW they want to move cheap, I will jump in on this Burb/Scout and (hopefully)Van paint project, Have labor and some paint skills,if a gallon will do a burb, then a heavily reduced quart will do whats left of the Van.

Am motivated, about ready to wet sand and buff the faded and oxxed out Gold and call it good, and I HATE GOLD!!!!!!!

Why is yellow so dang much money, anyway?
