Talk to Kurt, he got all the stuff I couldn't use for my 40. :D

97% sure that is where the trans the FJ60 has in it now came from. It likely needs a set syncro's in a couple of the gears?

Jason, just an option but I still have the H42 'long' 4 speed that Doug pulled out of that 60 the first go around. He let me borrow it up to mock up an H55F setup I was working on. This trans could be rebuilt and have the syncros fixed. Then its ready to go. It belongs to Doug but has been sitting here for a year, doubt he'll mind if he gets the other one back :D

Hey Jason, congrats on the FJ60, it looks good! I'm really sorry to hear about your Brother, I'm sure that has been tough to deal with. I really like what you're thinking about fixing it up, then giving it to your Niece when she is ready, that's going to provide her with great memories of her past and plenty that she will be able to make on her own, in the future. Very cool of you to do that for her!

I was thinking about Cherokeester's idea, or at least a twist on his suggestion....

I see that you're a Premium Member... would you be interested in a upgrade to a General Store vendor, allowing you to promote your business and sell your Armed Work Wear pants here on RME? Hopefully you'd be able to make a little more money to help pay for that incredible FJ60 build!

Your call... it's not a handout, you support RME and have a great cause. If we can help you, we'd be more than happy to. :) Let me know what you think!
That is an incredible offer! Thanks to everyone for the support! It means a lot. Pretty AMAZING the support from so many
AGAIN THANKS ALL! :D:D

Just a thought, I think RME should do some fundraising. (My hand up to help), get some corporate help and build that thing and give it to your niece to remember your brother by. I assume it was her father? Anyway, we could open a paypal account or something, have Kurt help with getting the parts, have a big wrenching day and bbq and get er done.

I'm in.

I don't think he will mind either. Especially since he no longer has a 60;)
I will be in touch soon. Do you sell the rebuild kits?

It is very much appreciated:D
Really cool to see the support that is offered by so many
VERY COOL!!

So... am helping a friend who has 2 fj60s. One runs, drives has a snorkel, bumpers, lift, lockers etc. The other has a blown motor but a really nice body and interior. We are going to swap drive trains and any other parts it may need. For the help he is willing to give me the trans and transfer case out of the truck with the blown motor. Not to mention other odds and ends I may need. So we started to pull them both apart. Like I said this will be a slow process but I will keep posting for anyone who is interested
sorry for the bad pics I currently do not have a camera

just a phone.
Can't wait to get pics of the blown engine. You can almost fit 2 hands through it
