is it really prudent to try to examine each and everyone of them when people need our help out there NOW on VIOLENT CRIMES?

funny how you never have a cop tell you he is too busy with violent crime when they are examing your fender flares or mud flaps...hell I even had cops write me a ticket for my dogs barking...
noone must have needed help right then

*some* cops are like sewage treatment plants... glad they are there, but keep em far away from me.

some, manage to smell ok despite the sewage, but most seem to have a major chip on there shoulder

sorry for the hijack, I will keep my eyes open for the cruiser

I think that it goes beyond the Good Cop / Bad Cop mentality. I think that there is also another category. What to call them, I dont know, but they are the Cops that do just enough to to get by and draw a paycheck. Remember it is easier to write you up for excessive noise, than it is to catch a true criminal.

It is the same way in the military. You have soldiers who love being soldiers, and do everything they can to excel. They take pride in what they do. Then you have the ones that only do what they have to, the bare minimum, and then complain the whole time they are doing it.

Actually, this is probably true for every profession out there.

I know about 1/2 of the Swat and D.A.R.T. team members in Aurora, Colorado. They are all excellent police officers, that work hard at fighting crime. And I respect each and every one of them.

Then on the other hand, I have known a few others that I have absolutely no respect for because they have in my eyes, either abused the position that they hold, have a lack of respect for others because of their position, or they just dont seem to care.

I give every police officer I meet the benefit of the doubt. For the most part, most of them dont seem that bad. ;)

By the way I'll keep looking out here in Tooele County.

Yeah, I agree, but we've totally hijacked here.
I keep seeing red FJ40's, even followed a few, but they don't have the idaho plates or there's something different about them. One thing's for sure though, if it does drive past me I'll catch it, then it's time to release some pressure.
