My buddy, sunk his ranger in mud tonight, i tried to pull him out for a good while in my tacoma with no luck. looking to get a posse together to get him out tomorrow. its completely flexed out, and high centered, and in a puddle and possibly taking on water inside.

he turned it off after an hour of trying and the electrical is gone haywire, so its a sitting duck.

Looking to gather some people friday night, possibly at 6PM
its in springville by the lake.

already have a 1ton and tailor to tow it home but we think the dodge might sink.

anyone have an anchor point thing that digs in the mud when you winch?
or maybe just a bunch of shovels? idk.

thanks Lee - 801-494-4041

Oh yeah, I'm thinking of your friend with the Mazda. sorry to hear about your friend's troubles. I assume he is in the lake? How far away is he from solid ground?

not in the lake, just fell into a rut some people have made from messing around in the mud, but its all mud everywhere. and idk if there are trees that close. theres gotta be, but i went out at about 9 and it was dark, and i took the winch off the tacoma :/

Ill check back in later, my wife dont get off work till 7pm friday, then I could head down.

What does it have for tow points? Just a rear hitch?

just the rear hitch, going backwards is the only option, the front bumper hit the sand bank upon entering the hole. and is still resting on the bumper under the water i think. we pulled him about a foot backwards, with some good tugs, but that also lowered the truck further in the sand.

we could go a little later tonight if that works best with everyone.

the more the merrier. thanks!

If you dont have it out by tonight, my Scout is on the trailer already and I could bring it out.

Springville is about an hour and 10 minute haul for me so I would need some diesel money.

7000 lbs, 54" Boggers, 15k lb winch. I can yank it out Im sure.

Please keep the thread updated. I will check after work
