Look again, mine IS mounted behind the radiator... between the radiator and engine.

Crap, that's wat I have in my cart. For me it’s working great so far. It’s probably the widest fan out there so fitting it is hard. My passenger side head is about 1/2” from the firewall. If you have more gap than that it won’t fit. You’d really have to switch to a car accessory drive system. I cut the nipple off my water pump to clear with a bit of a gap.
You may want to stay away from that 4 wire fan. I’m guessing PWM is a headache you don’t want. Try the other one. Shoot, try the fan that came with the radiator. It might work for you.
Why is this one not suitable for our use? with a 3.6" depth this will be a good candidate.SPAL Automotive USA IX-30102113 Spal Electric Fans | Summit Racing

This one moves more air but is obviously not suitable for our use.
Read the description. it is for low duty cycle use. not suitable for dirty or wet conditions because of the unsealed motor. Why is this one not suitable for our use? with a 3.6" depth this will be a good candidate.
I got this fan installed and running, it's a 4 wires fan(pwm) but hand up only needing 3 of the wires. It's 18" with bigger blades and produces alot air, not sure what the cfm number is. Some googling says 3500cfm, drows 45amp when it kicks in.I found another fan out of a 2003 Lincoln LS V8 3.9L, end up buying both for $60.
Not sure if the Lincoln v8 fan will be better to run. It has 4 wires, power and ground, and 2 other small wires.
