I know it's not a proper winch. But I'm probably not ever going to run a "proper" winch, not soon anyway. This seems like a handy thing to have around for odd jobs, and I could toss it in the back of the truck to replace my come-along I carry for emergencies. I can get my hands on one for about $150, is it worth it? Or will it crap out on me before I get my money's worth?
I've had a Magnum hand winch on my list since Steve's winch thread, but they're $400 or so - if you had to choose between this for under $200 or a Magnum hand winch for $400, which way would you go?
