So when my tank was made they sealed it with red kote. However it didn't adhere in most places in the tank. Its a steel tank. Clearly needs redone but wondering if this is a common issue with red kote, obviously the prep was lacking, or if caswell or something else is better?
Now the fun of stripping the tank, uhggggg

Didn't have a problem on mine but when I applied the sealer I used a mirror and flashlight to make sure it was getting everywhere.

Mesha, what problems have you had with them?
I have assumed the issues with my tank were due to improper preparation.

I have never personally sealed a tank, but I have had 2 tanks sealed for me. Both of them peeled off and I was having to change the fuel filter ever trip out. I eventually got a filter I could pull apart and shake the chunks of tanks sealer out. Eventually they stopped peeling and the tanks didn't leak, but it wasn't worth it. I am sure others have had good experience, but I haven't.
