From this.......(dually hub) with H1 wheels. 83" sidewall to sidewall {38 x 16.5 SX}

To this.......in about 2 hours. (some cutting of the knuckle and swearing at the cold included)

77"??? sidewall to sidewall {38 x 16.5 SX}

Easy swap. The lockout hub on the SRW hub sticks out a little further than I'd like, but it's pretty narrow (like stock Jeepish now :D). A drive flange would lose at least an inch from the hub and wouldn't be nearly as susceptible to rocks.

Wow... huge difference. Not sure I like how much it sticks out. Although, Narrower is better.

Yeah.....I've still got other options. Those H1 wheels are 7" or so offset. A 5" offset would be about perfect, but put me around 81" sidewall to sidewall. (not necessarily a bad thing, but......)

It'll be easier to get inspected with the H1 wheels and we'll go from there. (flare has to totally cover the tire.)

that whole problem is the huge Hummer offset. I was thinking it was more like 8-9", but even 7" is a lot. Obviously the matching offset on the dually hubs is going to net you a lot less hub stickout, but with the corresponding problem of having your tires way out in space too.... esp. on a cute little YJ with fullsize axles on it. :rofl:

humm.... I have taken out 2 lock outs and my hubs are way inset, even more than that first pic..... That second pic looks like a rock catcher....

Since it's something you're likely going to have to live with, I think I'd fab up some kinda guard. Something like a piece of 3" sch 40 pipe, simular to the cheap chrome ones.

Even then, it is still a rock magnet...
