I have a few buddys that run it and they seem to really like it. It's a good cheap alternative to an atlas or stak. If you look around you can find good deals on them in the $700 - $900 range.. Check ebay!

I can't say much about the price (it's been a long time) but I installed on in my parent's jeep and it has worked excellent ever since. It was extremely simple to install and the gearing is perfect.

If you are looking into more technical 4 wheeling, I'd step up to an Atlas or Stak. But for what the teralow is, it's a great option.

What application are you needing a Teralow for? The inexpensive ones are the cosmetically flawed ones, which are called "Blem" cases.

I have one Blem in stock right now, it's a 23 spline long input. $799. :D

I'd rather go right to the source and buy it form Carl. 799.00 for a T-low is money well spent......

I bought mine from Sams Offroad, on Ebay for $750.. was suppose to be a blemish, but I couldnt find the blemish in the case.
All the rest I found were like $1100
Would have rather bought it local from Carl, but didnt know they stocked the blem..bought it three years ago and have worked it hard with 38's with no trouble. Im a little concerned now that Im running 40's, may have to upgrade to atlas if it explodes. I did have to cut the shaft sleave going into the planetary because it bottomed out in my 43re. not a problem though.

P.S. get the 2lo shift fork also..If you dont you will regret it. it allows you to run around in 2wd lowrange, playing on slickrock like hells revenge you seldom need 4wd but you always need low, easy on your frontend

thanks, I was thinking the same way. I was reading on pirate tonight about the box4rocks, anyone local ran the 231, 231 doubler? I am kind of worried being that low and still running a chain.

If your running the terlow you can upgrade to a wider/stronger chain. I elected to run a stock chain as a fuse not wanting to breakout the case.

If your talking about the 231 doubler, I wouldnt run a 231/231 I would go the 231/300 or one of the other variations.

I did not put it in, but my TJ came with a Teralow 4:1 and the 2 low kit in it. It has been great and do not have one complaint about it.
