Wow. Good kid, stupid thing. But I still think 30 days is not nearly enough and if it was my family, I would have been seriously pissed. No, I don't think they should throw the key away, but he desereved over 5 years for killing two innocent people.

No matter what he was doing, he killed two people and that should be charged with 2 counts of first degree vehicular homecide - period.
