A 'new member' of the BB would post something to the effect of: "I need new shocks in my TJ" or "I need some major work done to my TJ" and then ask which local shops could do the work, or were having a sale on the parts they needed.
Immediately thereafer a shop owner would post that a miracle just occured! Not only does their shop SPECIALIZE in TJ's, but they just got a TON of the parts the person was looking for, or that their shop specializes in the exact work the person needs to be done.
It was really priceless when the 'new member' would then begin to sing the praises of this shop, and recommend that everyone else shop there. Of course these recomendations usually occured right after the shop owner replied, leaving two conclusions: 1) the 'new member' is a gullable idiot or 2) the 'new member' was posting from the shop. How else can you explain the rapid feedback?
It would be a love fest between the two people, until someone called BS on the exchange. And it usually happened when sales were down.
