To the uninformed, there seems to be a bit of contention down south? You peeps going to get this worked out or do we all get to watch the dramafest from afar?
...Any questions?
.Yeah, where did you get that?
I got it from www.cruiseroutfitters.com. they sell it by the 55 gallon drum.
(ask Olly if your confused)
Have you seen the kid? he has plenty.
Seriously though, keep up the good work Tracy. Maybe you need to get the GPS coords mapped first but do all these trails stay in the Sand Hollow State Park or do they start there and head back to BLM or other?
Thanks Kurt, I'm not 100% sure but I believe that they are all on BLM land, the state park is just inside the fence/road right? anyone? I have been super busy building my new store so I have not had the chance to go out for a few weeks but I should have some maps done soon.
It seems you are right Marc, There is alot of drama down here. Somehow I have seemingly ended up in the middle of it because of the new trails down here that we have been working on.
Here is a few facts as I know them:
1. I am in no way shape or form affiliated with SWCF OR WOTR nor am I choosing sides. Whatever is going on between SWCF & WOTR has nothing to do with me. (I really have no idea what all the bitching and whining is about anyway, maybe I should ask Nic to inform me.)
2. I think both events have the potential to be great, I also believe both are essential to the survival of our (yes you) trails, and yes I plan on attending both events. (Unless i'm blacklisted )
3. All the trails that I have had anything to do with making were NEVER ran before "us" (see list below) I am SURE that someone had "poked" around in the area of these trails before we mapped and started running them as trails. I am even positive that people had "started" up a couple of these canyons, but be realistic, if you cannot make the second obstacle this means you shouldn't say you have been running it for "20" years.
4. Arrowhead canyon, Smurfetts trail, Chain reaction, Joint effort, Sandthrax, and the L.E.D. trail are all new trails that have been built by me and several members of this board in an effort to establish new trails in the area over the last 4-5 years.
5. These are not "secret" trails. I will show anyone anytime where they are, as I stated in an earlier post. I will publish these trails with pics, vids and GPS cords as soon as the beta is collected. I don't believe in these forums/sites where you have to pay to get access to the trail maps, this is a step in the wrong direction people!! No better way to send newb's out to cause damage than to make them pay to find legal trails, if there was tons of trail info we as a community could lessen the chance of illegal 4x4 routes popping up...sigh
6. I just want to go wheeling......
Any questions?

Sand Hollow is interesting in that the only thing state parks owns is the buildings, the land is BLM and the resevior is the water conservancy, but it is all patrolled and maintained by state parks. It is quite the cooperative arangement, BLM even bought the park rangers that new JK rubi to patrol the area.
That "other" Utah 4x4 forum wants you to pay before you can get trail beta.what sites charge for trail maps? I'm thinking that's a bit interesting
Hey, you keep quiet...at least until you have a rigNo more drama............................
100% my thoughts, I can/will do everything I can to get them on the map officially. This further drives the point home of working with the BLM to get these on the upcoming RMP asap before we have another round of 'Price Trails'.
Steve, I'm out now. Tore my MCL in the knee. I have a hard enought time getting in and out of the SUV let alone a Jeep.
Think I will drive down on Thanksgiving and wheel Friday and Sat.
Hoping to hit arrowhead, and the like!
Kevin,
...but Smurphette would be the only trail that would be full body friendly.
Understandable. I am sure it will be a good time no matter what we run.Once everyone is at the staging areas we will decide what every one is capable of and then if we need to split into groups we will do that!
Thanks for the invite. I will keep that in mind. It's going to be a fun weekend for everyone. We are also having a BBQ at my place on Saturday after the trails for anyone that wants to come at 1540 Sandhill Drive Washington Utah right off Washington Dam Road.
As far as I am concerned this Weekend is not Club Specific and Everyone should have a great time Thanks Steve!
Sounds like I will just be running this then. I am pretty sure Tracy is going to show a bunch of us around on it. I was thinking Friday would be a good day for that. We will see as time gets closer.

I completely agree and I do not think anyone was trying to make it "Club specific". I think we all just want to come down and have a good time.
