The intake on the RZR is a known problem if you ride in fine dust. Easily remedied by an aftermarket intake.


As I understand it, on the early RZR models the motor and air cleaner were designed in such a way that one of them moved with the machine and the other was fixed. This caused the intake boot to pull away from the motor causing them to suck dirt. The following year they fixed that problem and did a recall on the original intakes. I could be wrong on this but I have not heard of any intake problems with sucking dirt inthe last 3 or 4 years.

I have not ridden in the XP, but have been in multiple rhinos and spent a lot of time in a RZR4. I have been Very under impressed with both machines. I think for the 15K you could build something much faster and more reliable on your own. - just my .02. However if I wanted something my wife could drive and feel safe in, it might be a good way to go. But I still don't see the 15k value
