The Best Tire Prices??

I am in the market for five 35" tires. I think I have narrowed it down to swamper ssr's or blue label krawlers. This SAS build is just draining my wallet right now so I am trying to get the best deal possible for rubber and I would like to get your guys input on who has the best prices or if you know of any specials offers that are out there right now. Local pickup would be best but I haven't ruled out having them shipped from somewhere out of state if the price was right. I would even consider going used instead of new if the tread was still decent on them.

So watcha guys think, is there some hole in the wall place that I haven't found yet to get a good deal on tires? Where would you be looking for the best prices??

Thanks for any input,

Discount tire will match anyone's prices (including online). tirecrawler.com is the cheapest price I've found online (but don't buy from them, their customer service is notoriously bad). Without knowing where you live, I can't recommend anyone local. But I've dealt with username:jardine on here before, and he has always hooked me up. Great guy, and their store (Discount tire in lindon) really caters to the 4x4 market.

I know you're not asking for feedback on which tire to buy, but friends don't let friends buy super swampers for wheeling in Utah. :) In my opinion, there are much better tires than SSRs for the trails out here. If you've already made up your mind, that's cool, but a lot of guys have found better tires for the terrain out here. And for what these tires cost, it's definitely worth getting the right tires for the terrain you'll be driving.

Will this vehicle see any street time, or will it be trailered all the time?

I really liked my super swampers. I liked them a lot. I would buy another set. I liked my crawlers a lot too.

Not if I was driving it much on the street though.

I haven't made up my mind yet so all feedback and input is welcome. I have ran ssrs on a couple toyotas of mine and have had no issues and they seem to wear pretty decent. I was looking at more of a rock crawler tire this time around but there are very few options out there to match the specs that I want. Hard to find one in a 35" 12.50 x 15. Alot of the crawler tires I have found are either 16 or 17 in wheels in a 35 or they are 13.50"s and I dont want to go that wide.

Since it is my only rig right now and will be a daily driver for a while, stickies are out the window as of now. I really like the look and feedback of the bfg krawlers blue lable but again, in a 35 they are 13.50"s :S I dont understand why they chose to do their 37" tire in a 12.50 but did their 35" in a 13.50. To me, it should be the other way around.

Have you ever personally run any Interco tire?
.... if you can find me a BFG/Goodyear with a sidewall as tough as a swamper & even close to the same price, I might believe you ;)
I don't love the SSR but not liking any swamper is almost un-American :D :p
I wouldn't love them on a DD but with the price of Krawlers I wouldn't run them on the road either.

to the OP: Blue label Krawlers and SSR's are hardly in the same ballpark. Krawlers cost $70 more/ tire.

What are you're requirements in a tire? We might be able to help you open some other options.

If this is a trailered rig I really love my pitbull rockers. I know pitbull makes a radial rocker and i would assume would do atleast somewhat decent on the asphalt might be something to look at. I have also heard the pitbull mad dog is gearded more toeards street driving than the others

Nope, I've never run an interco tire, but I have plenty of friends who do. They're tough tires for sure, but my rig doesn't weigh much and I'm more concerned with traction than strength of the sidewall. But that's just me.

I just see a lot of people on forums recommend the SSRs as a great offroad tire without considering the terrain they'll be used on. The best Florida tire is far different from the best Utah tire. You catch my drift. I think there are better options traction-wise for our terrain here in Utah. Not meaning to diss intercos, just making sure killshot did a little research before dropping $1000 on new tires based off someone's advice from across the country. Just trying to help killshot out. Feel free to ignore me. :D

My biggest requirement as of now is it is a 35" tire or maybe a 36" depending how high my sas turns out. The second big requirement is it has to be a 15" wheel cause I already have the wheels with beadlocks. I want them to be a decent looking tire but thats not a huge priority when comparing to performance. Like I said above, this will be my dd for a while so they have to last/ wear somewhat decent. I will mainly be using this truck for long hunting trips and weekend wheeling trips. Some that I have scratched off the list already are the goodyear wranglers, toyo mt's, and bfg km2's or mtr's cause they don't have the tread pattern I am going for and to me they are more of a mainly street tire that you can use off road. I want some knarly looking tires under this thing that will perform well and wear half way decent.
