Fair question in my opinion. The UI could certainly be a little easier on any radio in my opinion. I did just spring for an FT-70d Yaesu the other day. Still figuring out if I like it or not.

I have a FT70 and I think it is great. I some good repeater files if you are interested, both with and without the MARS mod.

It does. I uploaded my file. Not sure that I totally like how it's organized but it's in my Gladiator, handheld, bug out and 2M in the "Jeep"

See attached, I also have the file in the ADAMS 10 format. It has the GMRS channels as well as the Intertie (names begin with IT), Sinbad (names begin with SB) and a number of local repeaters.

Over the course of moving my Icom from the old rig to the new one, my xmit and rcv have gone to pot. Before I start throwing parts at it I'd like to test the signal strength on the coax and the antenna. Anybody with a test box free this weekend to mess around for a minute?

Already taken care of, it's a bad antenna. Fell apart in my hands while we were messing with it. Thanks though!
