The LJ I have always wanted

I have been starting and mostly stopping builds on my Jeeps for years and years, this has always been my dream. I had a YJ that changed build direction so many times that I need to start fresh and just install the parts I have been acquiring. So here she is my "about time" build. I started with an LJ, requirements to buy were Auto, Hard top and working AC. I wanted to try and get my wife to go with me again. I found this one, it had a Teraflex LCG Enduro kit with 35" tires, bumpers that were just not my style and a few little issues that I had worked out. the first time I went to head up the canyon to test her out the transmission went into Limp mode. Not the best way to start. So it sat around for 4 months. Then the adventure began. I had to get a new TCM and I worked out many of the little bugs. Then I loaded it up on the trailer and took it to MOAB. It has evolved rather quickly since. I debated between an LJ and a 4 dr JK for a little while and I am very happy with my decision. This has turned to be EVERYTHING I have ever wanted and more. It has tested my build skillz

Getting things cleaned up and checking clearances

Holding up the coil overs to get an idea if things wil sit where I want
IMG_0404.jpeg

Relocating the track bar frame side actually have more clearance now I think
close_but_clears.jpeg

1/4" should be enough right?

Bumps look like they will just fit

I think I will move the Axle side Track Bar mount over more to clean up the angle a little more

Well I finally pulled the heart out of the Donor. No expectation on when it will go in to my Jeep. Just a someday project but i have always wanted to do this. 2006 5.7 yeah I know there are better heads and intakes and .... and .... but this is the start. 545RFE Lower 1st gear than I have and an extra should make things better. Not looking for mega horsepower but probably a mild cam bump is more than likely.
