Project fender flares. I picked up some fender flares off a 2001 a Nissan Frontier. Just the front ones for now. I had to pay overpriced North Dakota junkyard prices of $50.

I started by trimming the aluminum fenders back and doing a bit of hammer and dolly work to get an new inner fender lip.

I didn't take pictures of the whole process but here are a few

Took my two oldest boys out camping on the Missouri river. its the only place around here to do some dirt driving and camping. we just stayed overnight. a bunch of morons were out blasting through the sand dunes around 12.00 am.

We woke up around 7.30 am and packed up. Then we drove through the sand dunes at full throttle next to all the idiots who had been making noise during the night and taught them about pay back. :O

There were also a couple of beavers in the pond next to where we were camping. they were noisy all night. I'm not sure what they were doing. it almost sounded like a diving competition.

It was really foggy and cold in the morning.

Then we got back home and found out my wife was torturing the new boy with this horrible outfit. Poor kid is going to be scarred for life. we quickly removed the hat and set it ablaze.

anyone know how to fiberglass over this plastic poly stuff. i need to fill in the gap at the rear of the fender so it touches the body.

I don't, but I've been meaning to learn. What about trimming the inside of the flare to match the body line?

I had to do a lot of work with my wife until she understood that the newborn Boogerface wasn't a dressup doll.

The body is about 1/4" back from the flare. I can't cut anymore out of the flare to make it fit right without screwing the flare.

This is the third kid now. we were butt broke when we had the first two. i guess she feels she needs to make up for it with this one. LOL. The older boys do enjoy making the baby look funny.

Aright. Almost finished with my Inverter in the dash project. I added a 4 pin 30 amp 12 volt relay. (say that 5 times fast). All I have left to do is wire the switch into a switched ignition source.

Also ordered a 24" LED combo light for the front. It should be here next week along with some new blend motors so i can actually change the temperature setting for the HVAC.

I'm going to take the 6" spotties off and transfer them to the Toyota. They are converted to HIDs

Ive looked at the pictures but dont see how you mounted the inverter. How did you get it solid enough to withstand what will be some pretty hard pushing and pulling?

I've been replacing my HVAC blend motors this week. I had to take the whole dash out to get access to the motors. This marks the third time I've had the dash out since I bought it. I can now get it out in 30 minutes.

I can now switch the temperature from hot to cold. AC works great. And I have dual climate zones again. Love it.

No pictures sorry. It's not that exciting of a job. Just satisfied to have it working right before winter sets in.
