Something about the 80's... My 84 CR came stock with a 4.5 and it would bottom on everything

Thanks! I kinda like the old shock, so hopefully it will work ok. My brother remembers bottoming it out on everything too.

Those were great bikes! Here a pic of my '82, first year of the water cooled 80. That's right, white Levi's and a trucker hat. :greg:

I didnt notice the white Levis and trucker hat. I had to look twice to see those. I was checking out what was under the hat. My 1982 YZ490 had the big 1 on it and I thought it was so cool. I was 16 when I bought it. I will have to go dig for some picks.

Sorry for the delayed response! Been busy riding bikes that run, so it was kicked on the backburner until now. More progress will be made starting in a couple weeks. The plan is to take it out riding on a NV. trip in January.

That sounds like fun. I'll bet the IT will be a blast in the desert especially with suspension that works

My friends dad has an IT465. I keep telling him he needs to give Chuck Norris his bike back LOL.
