jeep sent my buddy a letter 6 months ago r to park outside due to fire risk on his electric rubicon. He is on his 18 time to the dealer since he bought it just for the EV part of the jeep.

jeep just told my friend his 3 year old 40 k. miles 4xe Rubicon battery is bad on right side cell. it's under warranty but a 3 month wait. he is number 4 in line. the cost of the battery is 15 k. he can't wait to get out of this thing

Probably because the .gov incentivized them to get EV's to market and there was not enough testing and shakedown done to discover problems.
