the hood looks crooked because the grill is still shifted from being hit on the passenger side

i guess i haven't given this post an update in a while

well got some more done yesterday.i mounted my old 4 link to the factory rear mounts on the Tj just to get a better idea.

as it sits right now its at 115" wheelbase and thats with out having the front axle pushed forward where i truely want it.so when i build my real rear mounts i will be pulling the rear axle about 5" forward again.i will be stretching the rear end of the tub about 10" so i can enclose a fuel cell back there and keep it out of the vehicle.

i used some old control arms as struts right now just to make it a rolling chassis

i'll also be plating the sides with some 3/16 or 1/4 plate.when i do i will close in the rear wheel well and move it back to make it look better.i will then be making a battery tray in the front half of the old wheel well so they are hidden and help keep the center of gravity down.they will be two yellow top Optimas D31A's(very big).

like i said above the rear will be moving slighty forward again about 4" to 5" so i can push the front axle forward .

then i'll be making a false bed area to stretch the body some 10" for a fuel cell which in rough calculations will give me 19 to 20 gallons .

Have you thought stretching the tub 15" so you can run an unlimited's soft/hard top? I stretched my TJ's wheelbase 13" and my tub 15". I run a factory Unlimited soft top. Just wondering.

He's gonna have a fuel cell in there, so I think he wants to keep that outside his top (can't blame him either :D)
