so u ditched the DATC show to go wheeling -_- im glad u got that dent -_- u deserved it

I'll pose a question, and let you, the reader decide what you might do if you found yourself in this position.

Do you attend the 4x4 show that'll take most of the day, sitting around shootin the breeze with people you don't know, letting your built rig that your in the hole for sit in a clean garage in the shade, pissing on the main the reason you justified buying/building it in the first place?

OR

Do you decide to go wheeling with your boss (who by the way doesn't get to wheel much at all because he's concerned about the quality of parts that are most likely found on your rig. Thus causing him to give up alot of time to wheel... the one thing that brought Summit Machine into the offroad world, and causing him to work ALOT)because he came to you and said, "Hey we're going wheeling on Saturday for my birthday."

not to knock the 4x4 show in any way, honestly i was going to go, and was excited about it... but more important things came up in my opinion. this is all i'm going to say about this.

So we are some time contemplating the horny yota, occasionally distracted by the banging/crushing/gouging/scratching types of noises that only radiator rapids can do to ones undercarriage coming from up the trail.

this paragragh makes me want to go wheeling...:D

just the facts .... you were so funny ... that one took the wind right out of your sails! You need to get back on that horse.

was i that obviously frustrated? it's a shame when what i love gets the best me... but i'll tell ya, navigating my 4runner through the Con was honestly draining on so many levels.. my nerves were hanging by a thread if attatched at all by the end.. in the end it was worth it though...:)

i want you to ride shotgun with me from now on just so i can read your descriptive write-ups... not to mention your willingness to help out.

We had a great time. Rattlesnake changed a bunch since we ran it a couple of months ago.

Ok now to defend myself. :D I told Jason we would be leaving form the shop at 9:00 AM. His reply was that Paul's Toyota is very slow and they would leave earlier to meet us out there.

Now to answer Chad as to why we left early. Due to some green Toyota getting it on with a rather large rock for almost an hour we were running short on the availible time from my Mother who was watching our two young children. If I would have listened to my wife (wow that's hard to type) I should have brought our 2 year old he would have loved it.

It was great to get out with you guys. We will be in Moab for Thanksgiving this next weekend and we might get to do some more. I know Jason and Robbie will be down there, along with Mikey Monobeam94 from here. We will have to see what comes up.

And yeah so the worst body damage on the TJ came from a pole in the Southtown Mall parking lot. It will get plenty of abuse over the next few years. It's still a baby when it comes to off roading (just was completed last April).

I have a bunch of pics I will try to get up today.

It was good to see you guy's out there. I ran up Rattlesnake then over to WW but didn't give it a shot since I was alone, then i ran up to Con just in time to see a group heading up, i parked at the bottom then hiked up to the waterfall. I just missed Sami and others. I watched two rigs winch the water fall then i hiked back out. I ran in to Sami's group at the top of RS and fallowed them down.

I don't get it if someone is willing to go up Con, and fallow the trail from the start then half way through realize they shouldn't be there then use the illegal bypass around the first obstical to get back out. I didn't say anything but I know I should have. Kind of scary telling a whole group there doing something wrong.
