I’ve been working on building mounts for the 3x9 DE ram for a few days. It sucked making sure it was centered, level and square and all that fun stuff but I got it in place and started the peasant CAD (cardboard). I got it tacked together enough to hold it and then pulled the axle out tonight to do more welding. I have a little bit of welding left to do and a tube to add between the mounts and then I’m done. It’ll be nice to have this done because it’s been a pretty big mental block for me. And remember, #notafabricator #dontlooktoocloseatmywelds #itllworkthough

Looks good man. Mounting a steering ram is no easy feat. At least those 3” rams are lightweight and easy to fix in space.
So freakin’ huge and heavy lol
This ram may as well be my firstborn, I love it. Somehow a little spatter from tacking made it through the double-wrapped foil and tape and I’m distraught. I guess I need to get some emery cloth or something.

Had a couple gopher appointments on lunch but had a little extra time so I came out to sweep up my future lung cancer and get my truck in before weather. I figured a pic with the ram at least chilling would be cool.

Hopefully I can get some more time on it this weekend. Don’t tell anyone but I’ve enjoyed it.
