I think I almost have the lady convinced that this is a good idea. Now I just need to figure out a sleeping situation, trailer, and what trails I should run.

We are still trying to decide where to stick the Motorhome, I'd love to stay at Sand Hollow but where ever the action is or where most folks are staying would be ideal.

Here is one of slip lock, does not help much. I took my unlocked yj on 33's up most of it except some of the bigger waterfalls like this one in the photo. If you have a good spotter you can make it just fine.

So my son and I have registered and are planning on running the Sliplock trail Friday and Fault Line / West Rim on Saturday. I picked these on the basis of the Trail Ratings on the U4WDA website. I have basically a stock TJ 2" springs 1" body lift with 33's and open diffs. Do these trails sound okay for me. Are there bypasses for harder obstacles encountered on these trails. Just looking for some info in case I need to switch to a different trail.

Sand Hollow is a great place, but I'd imagine a ways away from where the convention is happening. Prolly not a bad drive in though.

It is only a five to ten minute drive from sand hollow to the fair grounds. Really easy and really close. Not a bad idea at all. Enjoy and we will see you there.

Alright, I have a friend that is loaning me a trailer so it looks like I should be there.

Since the only trails I have ever been on are the Snakes and Little Moab, It would be awesome if someone could give me some suggestions on what trails to pick.

This is the beginning of the second year of wheeling for me. I am a confident/competent driver and I have a decently set up Toyota truck.

Thanks,

For you guys that have ran these trails, is this the best time of year to run these. or is it better to take a long weekend off work in the spring and try and run them all and make it worth the drive?:D

Camping ?

So, for those that are camping, it sounds like most will be staying at Sand Hollow and the locals say that's only 5 to 10 minutes away. Is there anywhere else campers will be staying?

sand hollow looks awesome. Any idea on temps. My son and I will be sleeping in a tent if we stay there.

If the weather stays normal without any storms the highs should be around the mid 50s and the lows ranging from mid 20s to mid 30s. It might be a little cooler at the lake by the water.

I live here and we usually do just one trail a day but in a small group with out any breakage you could hit several of these trails in one day. The convention is fun but with any large group on any trail it always takes longer. If it was now or later and not both I would come down in the spring when it is not as cold and run more of the trails. That is just my opinion.
