We are staging for West Rim, me in Bodine's Cummins with one third of th AYL crew riding shotgun

Well it was a great day, Chad Booth from AYL got a ton of great footage with Bob Welti enjoying a ride in Bodine's Rubi .

I drove Bodine's Cummins like I stole it, right up to (and well let's face it after) I mangled the crap out of his rear driveline... on a bypass no less didn't put a scratch on it on any of the obstacles. I can't post pics of the driveline from the phone but I'm going to email them to Badger for posting

Well we rounded up a stock driveline thanks to trail leader Eric and his boss the owner of Toxic Diesel who offered to loan us a stock driveline

We got the shaft and started to change it at about 930pm Unfortunatly it did not fit...
So here it is 1147 and we are starting the 9hr trip to West Valley and back to get Bodine's stock driveline so we can get home

I coulda swore that the Cummins came on this trip to keep us from spending 9hrs on the freeway in the TJ

FAIL!

I waited for a shaft to show on monday when I did the same thing. Do what you have to!

We are currently waiting outside John Doyle's house (owner of Gaylon's drivelines) in a borrowed Duramax waiting for a sensible hour to wake him up to see if he has the part that is missing from Bodine's stock driveline

Remove the rear drive line and put in 4 wheel drive and drive home. Didn't you know that front wheel drive vehicles get better gas mileage. I had to do it once.

The two problems with that in this case is that the front driveline isn't happy due to the 7" lift, and the t-case has a slip yoke so we would run out of oil before we got to Cedar City. Also, pulling weight with the front dig set up is a different story

Thanks to Gaylon's the new driveline is in and pretty and we are just about to hit the freeway

And now we are sitting on the side of I15 next to a vacant Tim Rassmussen rig

Just talked to Meat...anyone know if anyone picked up Tim & Lisa? Any idea who was behind them that might have seen them? Meat saw them northbound when he was southbound with Bodine's driveline.

Tim's truck is a few miles north of the hwy 20 turnoff on I-15

Update: Meat will wait a bit longer to see if they are coming back, then may put the 4runner on his trailer (cuz it's gonna need to come back somehow)

Anyone heard from Tim or Lisa? Top secret cell numbers? 2-meter frequency they monitor? Meat tried their cell phones, no answer.

Diagnosis... broken Ubolt on the trailer. They are going to see if they can get the new parts on...
