how about now?
Why not anymore?Not anymore
Why not anymore?
Well Derek was acting like a sad puppy with no bike so I went and grabbed my KX250 and CR250r and we went for a rip out on the west side of the lake.
About a year ago I fell in love with a little CR125r in Santa Clara, but it didn't have enough wopah, this CR250r does and if it had a wider spread or a 6th gear this is what I'd keep and race. It's that good.
I wrecked it pretty hard a month ago and haven't been able to fix it yet.
Damage so far includes:
Broken subframe, pipe, slave cylinder, chain, front sprocket, most plastics, and possibly even left engine case.
Once I get a truck, then I'll work on an ADV bike, Then I'm in.
My opinion is run whatever tire will benefit you in the terrain you are least comfortable in.
I.e. sand, rock, high speed etc.
Hands down the best tire I have ever run that works in all terrain and has good traction throughout its long life is a Kenda Parker DT
Ive got to admit I’m surprised to see you recommending a DOT rated Hard terrain tire.Hands down the best tire I have ever run that works in all terrain and has good traction throughout its long life is a Kenda Parker DT
I am almost ready for the Rhino Rally. New top end 2 weeks ago, put some hours on the piston and then yesterday Harrison and I changed the oil in our bikes, topped off the coolant and cleaned the air filters. Did a few other minor things but all i have left is replacing my rear tire.
Did you decide which tire your going to use?
I have a hybrid 120/100x18 on it now, 1/2 thread life left that i am trying to decide if I should run that or put on a new Battlecross X30 i have. The tire foot print is much bigger on the 120 vs the 110 battlecross but it’s half worn. Any thoughts? Would the extra tire on the ground make up for the worn tread? I will probably swap it out anyway and just bring my extra rims. 2 years ago I ran a trials front tire with a MotoZ Mountain Hybrid and that combo rocked.
