The upcoming moto ride/quick report.

I wish I could ride tomorrow too! I'm stuck working in clean room till it's complete. At 1 million dollars an hour for shut down they don't care much about my plans...

Totally jealous. What a great group this would be to ride with again! I will think of you all while I sit in my pew crying.

Man, not sure how I missed the AFC ride invite. I wish I would have seen it, unfortunately I've now got a commitment at 10, highly doubt I can be back by then. :(

Insane ride today!! :eek3: Derek, Von and I made it out.

Starting at the Tibblefork Res parking lot, we rode Trail #40 (Mill Canyon) to #172 (Holman Ridge) to #39 (Holman) over to #157 (Ridge Trail) and down to Forest Lake.

It was quite cold at Tibblefork at 8 AM... hit the trail around 9 AM after the sun came up. Puddles on the trail were froze over, there was a lot of frost on the trail. After some time the trails got pretty muddy and it was slick as SNOT in places! Bikes fell over, people slipped and we worked our asses off on certain parts of the trail. We came across several downed trees and even a couple hunters, who I'm sure loved seeing us. As we continued the climb, we started seeing snow.... and eventually the we worked our way over to the Ridge Trail above Tibblefork where we got into 3-4" of snow on the steepest parts of the trail! It was way too much work... after riding the dirt road from Forest Lake back to Tibblefork, we made another shorter ride and rode over the bridge and made a quick loop out of Trail #40 and #41, with Von adn I trading bikes. The trails had dried out and traction was much better... it was a blast! I didn't have my GoPro, but the other 2 guys did... hopefully some good footage comes of this ride!

All said, I'm sore as can be... :eek2: Haven't ridden much in the last few months. :(

After I left to make the drive back to Colorado, Von & Derek headed out for another ride.

Some Before & After pics... note the mud!

Stac and I drove up Farmington Canyon and camped up near the road to Bountiful Peak, just past Arthur's Fork.

We rode out to the beaver ponds and saw Cheston and his family (along with a lot of hunters).

I was quite cold with a lot of snow. We rode to the top of Skyline drive and turned around because of the cold.
