Not to change the subject fellas but why doesnt anybody run PTO's? What are the pro's and con's? I havent done much home work on winches.

Pros: fast as hell
pretty beefy, most of the time

Cons: need PTO port, which limits you to: your large 4spds, even bigger 5spds, or expensive Allison trannies, and/or t-cases w/PTO port (NP203/205/241HD)
don't work when the engine isn't running
require hydro lines or driveshafts to be routed to the front or rear, can cause enormous space issues

I've had a Warn XD 9000 for about a year and it hasn't had a single problem in all the time it's been sitting in it's box in the garage

Depends on the vehicle. On a Jeep, hell yeah, there's a lot going on under there and not much room. On say... a huge M715? No reason NOT to run one. Or two.

Warn Powerplant for me, I could use the onboard air. But I will stick with my cheap M.M. for now till I have the bucks.
