Thinking about a harness

The harnesses I had I only used the lap belt since the rest of the harness was too restricting when crawling, couldn't lean to look out the window. Also experienced a few roll overs. I had the harness on a couple and the lap belt on a few. The lap belt held me in just fine. Unless you are going to be rock racing (which I doubt you'll do with that four popper) then I think a harness would be point less IMO. I had these and liked them more than a few others I have had. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SIM-29061BK/?rtype=10

I have some RCI's in my jeep and I like them. Like Lewis said they can be pretty constricting if you want to look out the window or move around. I just use my lap belt 90% of the time until I get intimidated by an obstacle then I throw the shoulders on.

As a matter of fact I am planning on rockracing and my turbo kit is on its way! J/k. I just want something that is going to be extra safe since my wife will be going on a few runs with me. I will also be installing a modest exo cage. I want to be prepared in case of worst case scenario. I dont think it is a good idea to just wear you lab belt because accidents happen when you dont necessarily plan on it.

I too had 4 points in my Toyota, and they were comforting when I wanted to get stupid, but a PITA most of the time. Just by dumb luck, I was lazy when I installed them and left my stock shoulder belts in place. I used those most of the time, just because they were far more comfortable.

Keep in mind, if you drive your's on the street a lap belt isn't legal. So plan on wearing them all the time, or leave your stockers in place. I've been pulled over twice in the last couple months for no belt. Both times (one UHP and one city), I had to show there was no place to EVER have shoulder belts in a 72 Chevy. So, they are watching and will nab you.
